Whether you need a single replacement tyre or a full set, The Autowiz can supply and fit quality new or used tyres at your location — no need to visit a tyre shop.

New & Used Tyre Supply and Fitting at Your Door

Whether you need a single replacement tyre or a full set, we can supply and fit quality new or used tyres at your location. We carry a range of sizes and brands to suit most passenger vehicles, and can advise on the best option for your vehicle and budget.

Worn or damaged tyres are one of the most common WOF failure reasons. If you're not sure what size you need, check the sidewall of your current tyre — the size is printed there — or give us a call and we'll help you work it out.

Free upfront quote before any work starts. 7 days a week, 5am–10pm.

Signs Your Tyres Need Attention

Tyre condition directly affects safety, handling, and WOF compliance. These are the most common signs to watch for:

Tread depth is at or below the legal minimum

New Zealand law requires a minimum tread depth of 1.5mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre width. Most tyres have tread wear indicators moulded into the grooves — when the tread is level with these indicators, the tyre needs replacing.

Visible damage, bulges, or cracking

Bulges or bubbles in the sidewall indicate internal structural damage and the tyre should be replaced immediately — it is at risk of sudden failure. Cracking in the sidewall or tread can indicate age-related degradation, particularly on older vehicles that aren't driven frequently.

Persistent slow puncture or loss of pressure

If a tyre repeatedly loses pressure, it may have a slow puncture from a nail, screw, or damaged valve. Some punctures can be repaired; others require replacement. We'll assess the damage and advise on the best course of action.

Vibration or pulling at highway speeds

Vibration through the steering wheel or the car pulling to one side at speed can indicate an out-of-balance tyre, a damaged tyre, or a wheel alignment issue. Tyre rotation and balancing can address some of these issues.
